Manado is an exceptionally fascinating diving site that offers endless variety of diving programs. The dive site is incredibly diverse with sightings that includes flat reefs and dramatic drop-offs for divers to challenge their skills. The site also has options for divers interested in wreck dives and night dives.

The water temperature constantly hovers around 30 Celsius (84 Fahrenheit) all year round, making this location a suitable diving location for anytime of the year. This site is only disturbed by the occasional monsoon squall, in which case diving activities can be diverted to the opposite coast on Lembeh Island. Coral reef formations in this site begin with a flat reefs found at 3 meters deep and gradually slopes down to form gorgeous underwater alleys that eventually drop-off vertically hundreds of meters below.

Manado is located on the northern tip of the orchid-shaped island of Sulawesi. Its geographic location places it along the equator, providing superb diving conditions all year long. The monsoon squall is the only minor disturbance from an otherwise excellent weather conditions.

Marine Life

Great walls underwater consisting of many nooks, crevices and caves that are home to an incredible amount of colorful hard and soft corals, basket and tube sponges, sea fans and anemones, along with other marine critters and fishes. The waters are teeming with active marine life. Divers can expect to see the Angelfish, turtles, Eagle Rays, Barracudas and the Giant Napoleon Wrasse, amonst other fishes. Divers can even catch a glimpse of the elusive pigmy seahorse.

Hydrology Condition

With its geographic location spanning the equatorial line, Manado enjoys fairly consistent water temperature of about 30 Celsius (84 Fahrenheit) throughout the year with excellent visibility. During the occasional monsoon squalls, the diving activities can be routed to the opposite of the island on the Lembeh Island.
