Here are a few things to consider when coming to Bali for the ultimate diving adventure!
Bali has become more popular over the years, and it’s not uncommon to see over 30 boats of divers and snorkelers making their way to Manta Point during peak season. Some places are busier than others, though if you’re willing to dive during peak season, be ready to glimpse the manta ray while swimming with 70-100 other divers at the same time, especially at Manta Point and Crystal Bay.
The best time to dive without any crowds and enjoy some great diving is from May to June, before the group comes in. An alternative would also be November, after peak season but before the crowds catch up again.
The most requested dive sites in Bali are USAT Liberty Wreck in Tulamben and Manta Point and Crystal Bay in Nusa Penida. Bali has many other dive sites to offer, though it’s very rare others are requested, which is unfortunate. Other dive spots in Bali also worth diving include: Melasti and Seraya in the Tulamben region which offer world-class macro diving and The Jetty, located in Padang Bali which presents colorful slugs and colorful reefs in the Menjangan islands of north Bali.
