Dive Course for Beginners with Alpha World Diving in Bali
December 20, 2019
Ever wanted to try diving, explore the wondrous depths and find the underwater universe?
Then your first step should be doing the PADI Open Water Diver course, the world’s most widely recognized scuba diving certification. Most beginners started their journey through this course and went on to discover the breathtaking life under the waves. Enrolling in a PADI Open Water Dive course requires you to be at least 10 years old with good swimming skills and in good physical health. This recognized worldwide license lets you dive with a friend up to a depth of 18 meters.
Before going into the open water, you are required to complete the PADI e-learning, followed by five open water sessions. If you have already completed your confined water training, you can go straight onto the last dives in open water, which takes only two days. The course also teaches you to use the basic scuba gear, including snorkels, mask, fins, tank and the buoyancy control device. There are different types of equipment based on the temperature and condition of the diving spot.
The course usually consists of two dives a day which are completed in some of the famous diving areas around Bali, including Padang Bai with rich diverse marine life and interesting critters within the spectacular and colorful reefs. Or dive the world-famous USAT Liberty shipwreck in Tulamben.
You can start learning PADI’s home-study materials through the Open Water Diver App available on IOS and Android or with the Open Water Diver Manual book and DVD package.
